PANIC! ...NOW! MAYBE... NOT YET?
...new features can be scary

I really wanted to push distance in this piece. So I decided to try and cut out the middle-ground and leave the elements in the extreme close-up and extreme distance.
Monochromatic to make it a little easier to understand. As far as I can tell colors become more saturated the further they get from the foreground. Had a lot of fun getting the two siblings to look expressive and distinct in such a stark silhouette. Photoshop 2.5 Hours. Comments
I definitely enjoy your attempt for distance-quite successful. What is even more thrilling is the cone on the left corner, for me- it creates another type of atmosphere that we (as viewers) can relate to. So questions arise, who are these people? What time line is this taking place in? What is the story?
-- Erin you have definitely achieved a sense and feeling of distance and atmosphere here, which is impressive especially with your limited palette. i love how the viewer can take a possible narrative from this without any real info about the backstory or your intentions on the subject matter. awesome work.
