My first real attempt at ZBrush. Complete failure on the Ron Perlman face, so I kinda just went with it.

Color compositing in photoshop.

Lots of details missing from the character and lots of misinterpretations on my part due to lack of reference gathering

Decided to give him demon cow feet cuz his "actual" demon feet are too cartoony for me to sculpt well yet.

Went nuts with playing with materials and things so I apologize if it looks a bit tacky.

Amazing program.

Hellboy isn't my creation and I don't take credit for him or anything related to the license.

This is Fan-art.

Textured, it's lookin like its comin together pretty nicely. I think you need to define the torso muscles more, and add subtle un-evenness to the parts. Right now the abs and pecs kinda looked carved-out from the body. What sub-d level is it at? Looks like you could probably go up one more time. I would also try playing with the proportions: maybe a smaller head and larger torso would give some more character; looks a little standardized in his shape.

That was my 3 cents, haha. I'll post up Venom soon so you can check it out.

well it isnt textured, i just exported a ton of color materials from zbrush and composited them together in PS.

I lost my subdivision level while I was trying to import multiple subtools and accidentally merged them all into one shape. So I cant subdivide anymore without killing my comp - even though it says its on division 1 im sitting at like 1.7 mill active points.

Oh well, onto the final, learned enough.

Found an awesome resource that I am keeping to myself (shh) I'll show you it back at school.

Good call on the proportions too, for some reason I mush my models together into some weird ass condensed shape, so I will have to start over compensating for that earlier - longer upper arms, neck and upper legs
